ClassicBond Pro PU Deck Adhesive 5 Litres

This adhesive is formulated to bond fleece-backed EPDM membranes directly to:

• Concrete
• Steel decks
• PIR / PUR insulation (tissue-faced)
• GRP
• Existing bituminous layers (where suitable)
• Other compatible roof surfaces

The fleece backing of ClassicBond Pro allows the polyurethane adhesive to key effectively into the underside of the membrane.

Some installers prefer PU deck adhesive over sprayable bonding systems because:

• It is roller applied, requiring no spray gun or hose setup
• It provides controlled, even coverage
• It avoids overspray risks
• It suits smaller commercial or detailed installations
• It offers a strong structural bond once cured

The adhesive reacts with atmospheric moisture and typically cures within approximately one hour depending on site conditions.

1. Ensure substrate is clean, dry and free from contaminants
2. Pour adhesive onto deck surface
3. Roll out to create a thin, even coating
4. Allow adhesive to react for approximately 10 minutes at 20°C
5. Lay the membrane into position
6. Apply firm pressure using a squeegee or roller to consolidate the bond

Coverage rates typically range between:

• 1.6 – 2.4 m² per litre depending on surface type

A 5L container provides up to approximately 22m² coverage under optimal conditions.

• Shelf Life: 3 months (stored between 5°C and 25°C)

Containers must be resealed immediately after use to prevent moisture ingress and premature curing.

ClassicBond Pro PU Adhesive is particularly suited for:
