Cold Weather Accelerator for Flexitec 2020 Resin (Down to 1°C)

Flexitec Resin Winter Accelerator (300g) is a cold-weather additive designed to support curing of Flexitec 2020 GRP resin in low temperature conditions.

Used correctly, it allows Flexitec Resin to be applied on surfaces as low as 1°C, helping maintain predictable cure times when temperatures fall below the standard 5°C minimum.

What It’s Used For

• Winter GRP roofing installations
• Cold morning deck temperatures
• Late autumn and early spring projects
• Maintaining cure speed in low temperatures

Without accelerator, Flexitec Resin should not be used below 5°C.
With accelerator, application can proceed down to 1°C surface temperature.

Cold weather slows resin cure dramatically. In borderline conditions, resin can remain soft or take significantly longer to harden, affecting workflow and risking incomplete cure.

Correct Usage & Dosage

Add the accelerator to the resin before adding Flexitec powder hardener.

Typical pack dosing:

• 10kg Flexitec Resin = 1 x 300g Winter Accelerator
• 20kg Flexitec Resin = 2 x 300g Winter Accelerator

After thoroughly mixing the accelerator into the resin, add powder hardener at the correct scoop rate for the temperature.

⚠️ Important:
This product does not replace powder hardener.
Accelerator and powder hardener must never come into direct contact.

Temperature Guidance

• Surface temperature range with accelerator: 1°C – 10°C
• Ideal resin storage temperature before use: 5°C – 10°C
• Do not use in freezing conditions or if temperatures are expected to fall below 1°C during cure.
