Secure fixing for lead and lead-alternative flashings.
These lead flashing clips are used to secure lead or lead-alternative flashing into a masonry chase.
Designed to hold the flashing firmly in position before sealing, they provide a quicker and more consistent fixing method than traditional wedges.
Supplied in packs of approximately 50 clips.
What They’re Used For
- Securing lead flashing into brickwork chases
- Fixing lead-alternative products such as Leadax
- Holding flashing returns in place prior to sealing
- Replacing timber or lead wedges
Suitable for traditional lead and modern lead alternatives.
Why Use Flashing Clips?
Flashing must be securely held in the chase while still allowing for natural expansion and contraction.
Flashing clips:
- Provide a reliable mechanical hold
- Speed up installation
- Reduce movement before sealing
- Create a cleaner, more consistent finish
They are installed inside the mortar joint and are not visible once sealed.
Installation Overview
- Cut a chase (typically 25mm deep) into the mortar joint.
- Insert the flashing return.
- Tap clips into the chase at regular intervals.
- Seal with appropriate mastic or mortar.
Spacing is typically 300–450mm depending on detail.
Summary
Lead flashing clips provide a secure and efficient method of fixing lead and Leadax lead alternative flashings into masonry chases. Supplied in packs of approximately 50, they ensure consistent and professional flashing installation.
