Low-Odour Water-Based Adhesive for Skyguard EPDM Membranes

Skyguard Water Based Deck Adhesive is a non-flammable, acrylic-based adhesive designed to bond Skyguard EPDM rubber roofing membranes to timber roof decks.

Solvent-free and low odour, it provides a strong, long-lasting bond without harsh fumes - making it ideal for sheds, garden rooms and DIY roofing projects.

Easy to apply with a roller, this adhesive allows for a clean, fully bonded installation without the need for nails or mechanical fixings.

Suitable Substrates ▸

Designed for use on timber-based roof decks including:

Shed roofs
Garden rooms
Log cabins
Timber outbuildings
OSB3 decking
Plywood roof decks

All surfaces must be clean, dry and moisture resistant. Avoid treated or sealed surfaces that may repel adhesive. Always test on a small area if unsure.

Application ▸

Apply evenly to the deck using a roller
Lay the Skyguard membrane into the wet adhesive
Ensure full contact across the surface

This creates a fully adhered system with no penetrations through the membrane, reducing long-term leak risk compared to nailed felt systems.

Always wear appropriate PPE during application.

Coverage Guide ▸

1 litre: up to 4m²
2 litres: up to 8m²
2.5 litres: up to 10m²

Example:
A standard 8ft × 6ft shed (approx. 4.5m²) typically requires a 2 litre tub.

Coverage may vary depending on surface condition and absorbency. Exceeding recommended coverage rates may reduce adhesion performance.
