High-Performance Aluminium Vapour Control Layer for Warm Roofs

ALUTRIX® 600 is a reinforced aluminium self-adhesive vapour barrier membrane designed for warm deck flat roof constructions. Widely specified on commercial and high-performance builds, it delivers a vapour-tight and airtight layer beneath insulation and waterproofing systems.

Manufactured as a reinforced aluminium composite with a self-adhesive polymer-modified bitumen backing and removable release film, ALUTRIX 600 forms a durable vapour control layer when installed with FG35 primer.

Suitable for normal and high-humidity environments, including buildings subject to significant internal moisture loads.

What It's Used For ▸
  • Warm deck flat roof constructions
  • Installation over profiled steel decking
  • Use beneath insulation when installing single ply, EPDM, self-adhesive EPDM, felt, asphalt and liquid systems

Requires FG35 primer for full bonding to most substrates.

Why It Matters ▸

In a warm roof build-up, the vapour barrier is critical. If moisture passes into the insulation layer, it can reduce thermal performance and cause long-term damage.

ALUTRIX 600 provides:

  • sd value > 1,500m (high vapour resistance)
  • Airtight layer formation
  • High tensile and tear resistance
  • A surface that can be walked on during installation
  • Resistance to ageing and chemicals

Because it is reinforced and bonded using FG35 primer, it delivers secure adhesion to demanding substrates such as profile steel sheets.

Installation Overview ▸
  1. Ensure substrate is dry, smooth and free from dust and grease.
  2. Apply FG35 primer where required and allow to dry.
  3. Unroll and align membrane with minimum 50mm overlaps.
  4. Remove release film and press firmly into place.
  5. Roll seams evenly with a silicone roller.
