ClassicBond SPB Sprayable Bonding Adhesive is a gun-applied, high-strength contact adhesive designed to dramatically reduce installation time when bonding EPDM rubber roofing membranes to a variety of substrates.
Supplied in 14L and 22L pressurised canisters, this system is ideal for larger commercial projects and repetitive upstand or detailing work where speed, consistency and efficiency matter.

- 14L Canister – up to approx. 60m² coverage
- 22L Canister – up to approx. 100m² coverage
Coverage varies depending on substrate and application thickness.
Where It’s Used ▸
ClassicBond SPB Adhesive bonds EPDM rubber roofing to:
- Timber
- Concrete
- Brickwork
- Metal
- PVC
- Suitable insulation boards
Contact Adhesive must be used as the deck adhesive when installing standard ClassicBond EPDM (1.2mm & 1.5mm) on roofs over 100m²
Primarily used for:
- Upstands and vertical surfaces
- Non-permeable deck bonding
- Detail areas
- Large sheet adhesion
How It’s Applied ▸
- Ensure all surfaces are clean and dry
- Hold spray gun approx. 150–200mm from the surface
- Apply an even coat to both the membrane and substrate
- Allow adhesive to flash off (minimum 4 minutes, maximum 30 minutes)
- Bring surfaces together and roll firmly with a 50mm hand roller
⚠️ Once bonded, the membrane cannot be repositioned.

A Roofer’s Perspective ▸
On large EPDM roofs, labour time is often the biggest cost.
Sprayable bonding adhesive dramatically reduces application time and waiting time. It provides consistent coverage and reliable bonding strength, especially on fleece-backed membranes where roller application can be uneven.
For high-volume or commercial installs, it’s the most efficient way to bond EPDM properly.
