Slate Grit for Flexitec GRP Roofing Systems
Flexitec Mineral Slate Chippings are used to create a durable anti-slip finish over the Flexitec GRP roofing system. Scattered into a fresh layer of Flexitec resin, the slate grit bonds into the surface as it cures, forming a textured, slip-resistant finish.
Available in Green or Blue, these chippings are ideal for balconies, walkways and roof areas requiring improved grip.

Designed for use with an additional layer of Flexitec 2020 resin.
Application Overview ▸
- Apply an additional coat of Flexitec resin at approx. 0.7kg per m².
- While the resin is still wet, broadcast slate chippings at a minimum rate of 1.5kg per m².
- Allow the resin to fully cure.
- Sweep off excess loose chippings to leave a neat, textured finish.
Pro Tip:
Use masking tape to define the anti-slip area before applying resin. Remove the tape while the resin is still wet to leave a clean, sharp edge once cured.

- Slate Grit: Minimum 1.5kg per m²
- Additional Resin Required: 0.7kg per m²
Example:
For 5m², you will require approximately 7.5kg slate grit and 3.5kg additional resin.
