Dual-Purpose Joining Clip & 90° Corner Detail

These universal metal edge trim connectors are designed to join and form corners with our universal metal edge trims used on EPDM rubber roofing systems. They provide a simple, professional way to connect trim lengths or create clean 90° external corners without bending the metal trim itself.

Available in 75mm, 100mm and 150mm sizes to match corresponding universal metal edge trims.

What They’re Used For
  • Joining two lengths of universal metal edge trim
  • Forming a 90° external corner detail
  • Maintaining alignment across roof perimeters
  • Creating consistent, professional trim detailing

Not a waterproofing component – the EPDM membrane provides the waterproof layer. These connectors align and support the metal trim sections.

Why They Matter

Trying to bend edge trims for corners can lead to distortion, cracking of the coating, or uneven lines. Using a dedicated connector:

  • Keeps perimeter runs straight
  • Creates a clean 90° trim junction
  • Reduces stress on the trim coating
  • Improves overall finish quality

It’s a small component that makes a visible difference on completion.

Installation Overview

As a Joining Clip:

  • Slot the connector behind the first trim section approximately halfway.
  • Leave the exposed receptor edge ready to accept the next trim length.
  • Slide the adjoining trim into position and fix as normal.

As a 90° Corner:

  • Rotate the connector 90 degrees.
  • Slot it behind the trim at the corner edge.
  • The formed receptor edge allows the adjoining trim to slot in at a clean right angle.

A Roofer’s Perspective

They save time on site. Instead of trying to crease or bend trims neatly, you get a consistent corner every time. On longer runs, they keep everything aligned and looking sharp.
