Sure Edge Gutter Drip Trim is a premium 2-part uPVC edge trim designed to secure EPDM rubber roofing membranes along the gutter edge of flat roofs.
It clamps the membrane securely while forming a stepped drip detail that directs water cleanly into the gutter - preventing water tracking behind the fascia or beneath the membrane.
Widely used by professional installers, the Sure Edge system delivers a strong, consistent edge detail with a clean, high-quality finish.
Why Drip Trim Matters ▸
The gutter edge is the most exposed part of any flat roof. Without a proper drip detail:
- Water can track behind the fascia
- Deck edges can become saturated
- Wind can lift the membrane edge
- Water may run down the face of the building
This trim prevents these issues by clamping the membrane securely and directing water into the gutter system.
2-Part Clamping System ▸
The system consists of two interlocking components:
- Back plate: fixed to timber batten (10mm thick × 50mm height)
- Front plate: clamps membrane in place (7mm thick × 75mm height)
This creates a strong mechanical bond, securing the membrane without relying solely on adhesive.
Installation Overview ▸
- Fix a 25×50mm timber batten to the fascia, level with the roof deck
- Install the back plate onto the batten
- Dress the EPDM membrane over the back plate
- Position the front plate over the membrane
- Secure using supplied 50mm PolyTop pins
- Trim excess membrane below the back plate
This creates a secure, consistent edge detail suitable for both trade and DIY installations.
