Internal Corner Trim for EPDM Rubber Roof Drip Edges
The Sure Edge Internal Corner is designed to finish the junction where two Sure Edge Gutter Drip Trims meet at an internal corner on an EPDM rubber roof.
It creates a neat, professional finish at the gutter edge while helping protect the membrane detail beneath.
Used correctly, it completes internal corner junctions without leaving exposed or untidy trim edges.
When It’s Used ▸
This trim is used where:
- Two Sure Edge Drip Trims meet at an internal 90° angle
- The roof forms an L-shaped gutter edge
- A clean, watertight perimeter finish is required
Internal corners are less common than external corners, but they are essential where the roof layout requires them.
Installation ▸
- Install both lengths of Sure Edge Drip Trim first
- Slide the internal corner trim over the two adjoining trims
- Apply a small amount of super glue to one inner edge only
Important: only glue one side. If both sides are fixed rigidly, the trim cannot accommodate normal expansion and contraction, which may lead to cracking or splitting over time.
Membrane Detailing First ▸
The plastic corner trim is a finishing component only. It does not replace correct membrane waterproofing.
Before fitting the trim, the EPDM internal corner must be correctly detailed using an uncured EPDM internal corner patch and primer.
Once the membrane is fully sealed, the corner trim can be fitted to complete the edge detail.

Roofer’s Perspective ▸
Internal corners are easy to overlook, but they matter if you want a clean finish at the gutter edge.
Used properly, this trim tidies the junction, maintains flexibility and completes the roof edge in a much more professional way.
