ClassicBond 1.5mm EPDM is the upgraded version of the original ClassicBond rubber roofing membrane, developed by Carlisle SynTec - the pioneers of EPDM roofing systems.
With increased thickness and enhanced durability, the 1.5mm membrane is designed for commercial installations, higher-traffic areas and roofs requiring additional puncture resistance.
When installed correctly, ClassicBond EPDM is designed to provide a service life of 50+ years.

Installation Method (Fully Adhered System) ▸
We recommend installation using:
- Water-Based Deck Adhesive
- 6″ strip of contact adhesive
- Primer and seam tape
On roofs over 100m², contact adhesive should be used across the full deck area.
No torches. No hot works. No flames.
A Roofer’s Perspective ▸
While 1.2mm is ideal for most residential work, 1.5mm provides added confidence on larger or more exposed roofs.
The thicker membrane holds its shape better at detailing points, is easier to control, and can hide minor substrate imperfections more effectively.
