Top edge protection trim for parapets and upstands in GRP roofing systems.
The EXT/150 GRP Upstand Capping Trim is installed to the exposed top edge of parapet walls, rooflight kerbs and upstands within fibreglass flat roof systems.
It provides a clean, durable protective edge detail and forms part of a properly finished GRP perimeter build-up.
Compatible with GRPROOF 1010, Flexitec, and standard polyester GRP roofing systems.
Application ▸
- Capping the top of parapet walls
- Finishing skylight and rooflight kerb edges
- Protecting exposed laminate edges at upstands
Used in conjunction with the INT/150 Internal Angle Trim, which forms the internal deck-to-upstand junction at the base.
Why It’s Used ▸
The top edge of an upstand is exposed to impact and weathering. Left unprotected, laminate edges can become vulnerable over time.
The EXT/150:
- Protects the exposed horizontal edge
- Creates a consistent, straight top line
- Makes detailing upstands quick and easy
- Improves durability of the upstand detail
- Delivers a cleaner finished appearance
It forms the upper component of a properly detailed GRP upstand system.
Installation Notes ▸
- Position along the top edge of the upstand.
- Bed with PU trim adhesive.
- Mechanically secure if required.
- Ensure minimum 50mm overlap between trims.
- Reinforce and encapsulate within the laminate as per system guidance.
- Top coat to complete the detail.
Ensure alignment along the full run before laminating.
